0.5 μm Diamond Fiber Optic Polishing Film

The FT-707 is a 0.5-micron diamond polishing film engineered for ultra-precision polishing work. Diamond powder is uniformly coated onto a flexible substrate with an adhesive binder, creating a thin, conformable abrasive sheet that holds its particle distribution across the polishing surface. It is primarily used for grinding and fine polishing of fiber optic connector ferrules and fiber pins, where surface finish directly affects insertion and return loss. Beyond fiber optics, the film also handles precision polishing of semiconductor materials and metal rollers. Round sheets are available in diameters of 70, 110, 127 and 203 mm, and square sheets in 114, 152 and 228 mm sizes, covering common polishing fixtures and processes.
