1-Fiber Single-Mode Seamless Tube Armored Temperature Sensing Cable

The FT-858 is a 1-fiber single-mode temperature sensing cable that seals the optical fiber inside a seamless stainless steel tube for long-term deployment in harsh environments. The hermetic tube construction gives the cable strong rust resistance and waterproofing while keeping the diameter small at 4.00 mm and the intensity high. The single-mode fiber measures 9.2±0.4 μm in core diameter, with attenuation of 0.4 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.3 dB/km at 1550 nm. An LSZH or PVC flame-retardant outer jacket completes the structure. Mechanical ratings include 200 N long-term and 400 N short-term tension, 800 N long-term and 1000 N short-term crush, and an operating range of -20 to +90 °C.
