The FT-8-0MM-4 is the heaviest build in this simplex plastic fiber range, with a 960 µm PMMA core and 1,000 µm step-index cladding protected by an 8.0 mm double-layer PE jacket. Designed for 650 nm visible-band transmission, the large-core fiber is tolerant of handling and easy to terminate in the field. The thick outer jacket stands up to rough installation and outdoor exposure. Rated -45 to +75 °C, it fits FTTH feeder runs, home and office networks, automotive wiring, and industrial monitoring links.
