The FT-4-0MM is a double-jacket simplex plastic optical fiber cable for short-reach links in the 650 nm visible band. A 960 µm PMMA core with 1,000 µm step-index cladding gives a large light-carrying cross-section and straightforward termination. The dual-layer 4.0 mm PE jacket adds mechanical protection beyond a single jacket, suiting installations that see more handling or outdoor exposure. Operating from -45 to +75 °C, it covers FTTH access, home and office networks, automotive wiring, and industrial control and monitoring.
