960/1000µm Step-Index PMMA Simplex Plastic Optical Fiber, 2.2mm Single Jacket

The FT-2-2MM-2 is a single-jacket simplex plastic optical fiber cable built for short-reach links in the 650 nm visible band. It combines a 960 µm PMMA core with a 1,000 µm cladding in a step-index profile, so a large share of the fiber cross-section carries light and coupling to transmitters stays simple. A slim 2.2 mm PE jacket keeps the cable flexible while protecting the fiber in routine handling. The cable tolerates a 25 mm minimum bend radius and tensile loads below 70 N, and it operates from -45 to +75 °C.
