Overview

The FT-XFP-10G-40KM-1350 from F-tone Networks rides the 1350 nm CWDM channel for 40 km at 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps, pairing naturally with CWDM multiplexers on leased or owned dark fiber. Each wavelength becomes a private 10G lane between facilities, so capacity grows by adding channels instead of lighting new routes. The XFP package keeps per-port cost down compared with coherent alternatives on these distances.
