Overview

Mixed-vendor metro nodes need optics that install without negotiation. The FT-XFP-10G-10KM-1350 from F-tone Networks is a 10 km CWDM module on the 1350 nm channel, built in the XFP form factor for 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps operation. It serves as a drop-in spare or expansion channel wherever XFP-based CWDM ports are deployed, regardless of which vendor supplied the host chassis. Standard XFP electrical and management interfaces make the module recognizable to host equipment during provisioning. For maintenance teams standardizing spares across sites, a fixed-wavelength 1350 nm option shortens mean time to repair on short metro and enterprise spans.
