10G CWDM XFP Transceiver 1270nm 40km

Overview

Longer spans once required mid-span regenerators to keep 10G signals clean. The FT-XFP-10G-40KM-1270 from F-tone Networks extends the 1270 nm CWDM channel to 40 km, letting planners collapse a two-hop regenerated link into a single direct hop. Removing the intermediate O/E/O site cuts power, rack space and maintenance visits at remote locations. The module delivers 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps in the standard XFP form factor and fits the 1270~1610 nm CWDM channel plan. For regional spurs and extended metro rings where a regenerator hut is the most expensive part of the route, this optic simplifies the path.
