Overview

The FT-XFP-10G-10KM-1270 from F-tone Networks puts a 10G signal on the 1270 nm CWDM channel and reaches up to 10 km, occupying the short-wave edge of the 1270~1610 nm CWDM plan. Instead of pulling new cable, operators add independent wavelength channels to existing fiber pairs, which cuts expansion cost in metro access and enterprise backbone links. The XFP package supports data rates from 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps, covering standard 10G line rates.
