Overview

The FT-BIDI-3 is a 2 Mbps 1x9 optical transceiver for single-fiber bidirectional transmission, letting transmit and receive signals share one fiber. With an ST bayonet-locking connector, it operates over single-mode fiber at 1310 or 1550 nm and covers distances up to 20 km. The module accepts 3.3 V or 5 V power and uses LVTTL or TTL signal levels for straightforward integration with industrial control electronics. Commercial (0 to 70 °C) and industrial (-40 to 85 °C) temperature versions support both indoor racks and harsh outdoor cabinets. The FT-BIDI-3 is a practical choice for operators that need to double fiber capacity on existing low-speed links.
