Overview

The FT-84M-6 is an 84Mbps multimode optical transceiver built in the industry-standard 1x9 package and terminated with an ST optical connector. Operating at 1310nm over multimode fiber, it delivers a transmission distance of up to 2 kilometers, which suits legacy industrial links and campus backbones that still rely on 1x9 hardware. The module accepts both 3.3V and 5V supplies and uses an LVTTL/TTL electrical interface, simplifying board-level integration. Commercial-grade (0 to 70 °C) and industrial-grade (-40 to 85 °C) temperature options are available, so the same design serves both controlled cabinets and harsher outdoor enclosures.
