Overview

The FT-84M-37 is an 84 Mbps 1x9 singlemode optical transceiver with an ST connector, designed for reaches of up to 80 km using 1550 nm transmission on singlemode fiber. It sits in the long-reach end of the F-tone Networks 84M family, aimed at carriers extending low-speed SDH/SONET spans between towns and substations without intermediate regeneration.

The electrical side stays true to the 1x9 tradition: LVTTL/TTL signaling with a selectable 3.3 V or 5 V supply, so the module fits the same host footprints as the shorter-reach siblings. Family specifications include both 0℃ to 70℃ commercial and -40℃ to 85℃ industrial temperature options, while the ST bayonet connector provides a secure lock for field-terminated panels.
