Overview

The FT-84M-35 is an 84 Mbps 1x9 singlemode optical transceiver terminated with an ST connector, rated for transmission distances of up to 40 km over standard singlemode fiber at 1310 nm. It belongs to F-tone Networks' 84M legacy module family, which keeps SDH/SONET equipment, low-speed telecom nodes and industrial control networks running with dependable replacement parts.

Electrical interfacing follows the familiar 1x9 footprint conventions: LVTTL/TTL signal levels and a choice of 3.3 V or 5 V supply voltage, so the module drops into existing board designs without redesign. Both commercial (0℃ to 70℃) and industrial (-40℃ to 85℃) temperature variants are covered by the family specification, and the ST bayonet coupling gives a positive twist-lock connection in field panels.
