The FT-84M-34 is an 84 Mbps single-mode optical transceiver in the classic 1x9 (single-row 9-pin) package, terminating with an ST receptacle for single-mode fiber plants. FT-84M-34 is the short-reach ST option: 84 Mbps at 1310 nm over up to 20 km of single-mode fiber with the classic bayonet coupling. It is aimed at existing ST-based plants where a 1x9 footprint and screw-and-bayonet locking are required. The module operates on either 3.3 V or 5 V with LVTTL/TTL signal levels and is available in commercial (0 to 70 °C) and industrial (-40 to 85 °C) temperature ranges, with receptacle and pigtail optical interface options to match different line-card layouts.
