Overview

The FT-2M-23 combines a 2 Mbps 1x9 optical transceiver with a bayonet-style ST connector and a 40 km single-mode reach. Its 1310 nm Fabry-Perot laser transmitter supplies the optical budget for extended utility corridors, campus rings and rural control links. The locking ST interface holds firm under vibration, suiting factory and substation cabinets. With a 3.3 V or 5 V supply and LVTTL/TTL electrical signaling, it integrates into legacy host cards without extra circuitry. The industry-standard 1x9 package supports field replacement and sparing. F-tone Networks offers the FT-2M-23 for SCADA telemetry, remote monitoring and industrial control networks that need a rugged, dependable 40 km optical connection at low data rates.
