Overview

The FT-BIDI-5 is a 10 Mbps single-fiber bidirectional 1x9 optical transceiver module with an SC receptacle, built for cost-efficient Fast Ethernet links over multimode fiber. It carries transmit and receive traffic on one fiber strand using wavelength-division multiplexing, pairing 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths to reach up to 2 km. The 1x9 metal package suits legacy switches, media converters, and industrial equipment that use through-hole transceiver footprints. It runs from 3.3 V or 5 V supplies with LVTTL/TTL signal levels, and it is offered in commercial (0 to 70 °C) and industrial (-40 to 85 °C) temperature grades for indoor and outdoor cabinet deployments.
