The FT-84M-32 is an 84 Mbps single-mode optical transceiver in the classic 1x9 (single-row 9-pin) package, terminating with an SC receptacle for single-mode fiber plants. FT-84M-32 steps the SC variant up to 1550 nm optics and an 80 km reach, bridging the gap between standard 1310 nm parts and the 100 km flagship. It suits longer regional runs where the fiber plant is good but 100 km is more margin than needed. The module operates on either 3.3 V or 5 V with LVTTL/TTL signal levels and is available in commercial (0 to 70 °C) and industrial (-40 to 85 °C) temperature ranges, with receptacle and pigtail optical interface options to match different line-card layouts.
