The FT-84M-30 is an 84 Mbps single-mode optical transceiver in the classic 1x9 (single-row 9-pin) package, terminating with an SC receptacle for single-mode fiber plants. FT-84M-30 covers 40 km at 84 Mbps with 1310 nm optics and an SC receptacle in the classic 1x9 outline. It is the workhorse option of the series for standard metro spans, matching the footprint and pinout used by legacy equipment. The module operates on either 3.3 V or 5 V with LVTTL/TTL signal levels and is available in commercial (0 to 70 °C) and industrial (-40 to 85 °C) temperature ranges, with receptacle and pigtail optical interface options to match different line-card layouts.
