Overview

The FT-BIDI-11 is a 155 Mbps 1x9 bidirectional optical transceiver that sends and receives over a single strand of single-mode fiber. Fitted with a threaded FC connector, it operates at 1310 nm and supports links of up to 20 km, halving fiber usage on routes where strands are scarce. The module runs from a 3.3 V supply with an LVPECL signal interface and is packaged in a metal-shielded housing designed to meet EMC-CLASS A requirements. Commercial and industrial temperature options cover 0 to 70 °C and -40 to 85 °C. Deployed in pairs with a matching module on the far end, it provides a cost-effective way to double capacity on existing single-fiber plant.
