Overview
The FT-84M-40 is an 84 Mbps 1x9 singlemode optical transceiver with an FC connector, built for spans of up to 40 km on singlemode fiber at 1310 nm. It belongs to the F-tone Networks 84M family of legacy modules that keep older SDH/SONET systems and industrial optical networks supplied with compatible spares.
The FC screw-type connector gives a stable, vibration-tolerant optical connection, which suits outdoor cabinets and industrial enclosures. The module follows 1x9 electrical conventions with LVTTL/TTL levels and a 3.3 V or 5 V supply choice, and the family specification includes commercial 0℃ to 70℃ as well as industrial -40℃ to 85℃ temperature operation.
