Overview

The FT-84M-39 is an 84 Mbps 1x9 singlemode transceiver equipped with an FC connector, rated for up to 20 km over singlemode fiber with 1310 nm transmission. It is a member of the F-tone Networks 84M legacy module series, which provides form-fit replacements for equipment built around low-speed SDH/SONET and industrial optical links.

The threaded FC connector is a practical choice where vibration or frequent handling is a concern, as the screw coupling keeps the ferrule firmly seated. Electrically the module uses LVTTL/TTL levels and accepts either 3.3 V or 5 V, matching the standard 1x9 footprint, and the family covers 0℃ to 70℃ commercial plus -40℃ to 85℃ industrial temperature operation.
