Overview

The FT-2M-12 is a 2Mbps 1x9 optical transceiver module for single-mode fiber links. It uses an FC threaded connector with screw-type coupling for secure mating in vibration-prone cabinets, and transmits at 1310nm over distances of up to 20km. The module works from a 3.3V or 5V supply with LVTTL/TTL signal levels, fitting directly onto existing serial boards. Commercial (0 to 70°C) and industrial (-40 to 85°C) temperature grades cover both telecom rooms and field sites. The standard 1x9 footprint makes the FT-2M-12 a direct mechanical replacement for other 1x9 modules.
