Overview

The FT-SFP28-100G is a 100G passive direct attach copper breakout cable from F-tone Networks. It connects one QSFP28 switch port to four SFP28 device ports, splitting a single 100 Gb/s link into four independent 25 Gb/s channels. The passive twinax design draws minimal power and keeps the cost per port low on short-reach runs. Lengths from 0.5 m to 5 m are available, and multi-rate compatibility is supported. Commercial, industrial and military temperature grades can be selected. The cable suits rack-level fan-out where one 100G switch port feeds four 25G server ports without optical transceivers in the path.
