Overview

The FT-1-2198346-9 is a 16-port zSFP+ cage assembly with an integrated connector, built for very high-density pluggable I/O. Its ganged 2x8 port matrix provides 320 positions and supports 32 Gb/s per channel. Press-fit right-angle mounting secures the assembly to through-hole boards, while external springs and an EMI-shielded cage contain emissions at the panel cutout.

The thermally enhanced design assists cooling of installed modules, and the included lightpipe carries port indication to the front bezel. A recommended PCB thickness of 1.8 mm and an operating range of -55 to 105 °C make it suitable for signal applications in equipment exposed to wide temperature swings.
