2x5 Stacked SFP+ Cage Assembly with Integrated Connector and Lightpipe, 16 Gb/s

Overview

The FT-1-2132403-5 from F-tone Networks is a 2x5 stacked SFP+ cage assembly (OEM cross-reference: 1-2132403-5) that packs ten SFP+ ports into a 2-row by 5-column matrix. A 200-position host electrical connector and optical lightpipes are integrated with the cage shell into a single press-fit unit, cutting out separate SMT connector reflow and lightpipe mounting. Lightpipe channels bring LED link and activity signals from the PCB to the front bezel for all ten ports. Each port supports up to 16 Gb/s for 10GbE, 16G Fibre Channel and direct-attach copper links.
