Overview

The FT-1-2180324-9 from F-tone Networks is a 2x4 stacked zSFP+ cage assembly (OEM cross-reference: 1-2180324-9) that places eight ports in a 2-row by 4-column matrix for dense 32 Gb/s front-panel I/O. A 160-position host electrical connector and optical lightpipes are integrated into the cage body, forming one press-fit unit that mounts without solder reflow. External metallic EMI springs compress against the bezel cutout for continuous shielding, and the thermally enhanced cage profile supports heat management on high-rate ports. Each port is rated to 32 Gb/s per SFF specifications for zSFP+ applications.
