2x1 Stacked SFP+ Cage Assembly with Integrated Connector and Lightpipe, 16 Gb/s

Overview

The FT-1-2007492-6 from F-tone Networks is a 2x1 stacked SFP+ cage assembly (OEM cross-reference: 1-2007492-6) that packs the metallic cage, an integrated 40-position receptacle and lightpipes into one press-fit unit. Stacking two SFP+ ports in one vertical column doubles front-panel port density, while the integrated receptacle removes the need for a separate SMT host connector reflow step. Pre-assembled lightpipes carry LED link and activity signals from the board to the front panel for both ports. Each port supports up to 16 Gb/s for 10GbE and 16G Fibre Channel links, and external metallic EMI springs establish continuous grounding against the bezel cutout.
