Overview

The FT-1-2007492-8 from F-tone Networks is a 2x1 stacked SFP+ cage assembly (OEM cross-reference: 1-2007492-8) that combines the metallic cage and a 40-position host electrical receptacle in one solderless unit. Two SFP+ ports share one vertical column to double front-panel density while using one PCB footprint. The flat, lightpipe-free top profile suits systems that use chassis-mounted status LEDs and keeps vertical clearance open for forced-air cooling. Press-fit tails on the cage and connector both terminate in a single press operation, so no thermal reflow is needed. Each port handles up to 16 Gb/s for 10GbE, 16G Fibre Channel and direct-attach copper links.
