Eighty kilometers marks the top of this module family’s reach ladder. The FT-SFPPLUS-10G-80KM-1470 is a 10G CWDM SFP+ on the 1470 nm channel, rated for 80 km, running 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps. Links of this length — regional backhaul, inter-city spurs, remote aggregation — sit where standard 40 km grey optics run out, which is exactly the space long-reach CWDM was designed to cover. As the longest member of the CWDM-SFP10G-FM series, it shares its channel plan with the 10, 20, 40 and 60 km versions, so one qualification covers the full distance range. Specify the 80 km grade once, and the longest spans in the network close with margin.
