Overview

Spare-part strategy decides how fast a CWDM network recovers from a failure. The FT-SFPPLUS-10G-60KM-1470 is a 10G CWDM SFP+ on the 1470 nm channel, rated for 60 km at 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps. Because the CWDM-SFP10G-FM series shares one channel plan across 10, 20, 40, 60 and 80 km versions, a stocked 1470 nm part covers any node position on the wavelength map, and the 60 km grade adds headroom for the longer spans in the ring. Operators standardize the channel inventory once, then pull the matching reach grade per site instead of qualifying a new part per link. Planned sparing turns a midnight module failure into a routine swap.
