Overview

Metro rings gather traffic from access sites scattered across a city and hand it to hub nodes that may sit sixty kilometers apart. The FT-SFPPLUS-10G-60KM-1270 is built for those ring spans: a 10G CWDM SFP+ transmitting on 1270 nm, rated for 60 km, with data rates from 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps. On a passive CWDM ring, each node takes one wavelength, so channel discipline and reach planning decide whether the ring closes. This part fits the CWDM-SFP10G-FM series, spanning 10 to 80 km on a common channel plan, which lets carriers standardize one module family across ring, spur and hub-to-hub roles. For metro aggregation where sixty kilometers is the design distance, it removes the guesswork from wavelength assignment.
