Overview

The FT-SFPPLUS-10G-40KM-1270 serves those aggregation tiers: a 10G CWDM SFP+ on the 1270 nm channel with a 40 km rating, carrying 9.95 to 11.1 Gbps services over single-mode fiber. Headquarters-to-data-center paths, regional office backhaul and disaster-recovery replication links commonly land in the thirty-to-forty-kilometer band, where a dedicated wavelength avoids leased-line recurring cost. This module ships in the hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint and belongs to the CWDM-SFP10G-FM series, whose 10 through 80 km versions share one channel plan for unified sparing. For enterprises building their own wavelength layer, the 40 km grade covers most aggregation routes without stepping up to long-haul optics.
