Overview

The FT-SFP-1G-120KM extends Gigabit Ethernet to 120km in a 1000BASE-CWDM SFP module from F-tone Networks. The extra reach removes regeneration sites on long metro and regional spans, cutting equipment and power costs along the route. As a CWDM-channel module, it multiplexes with other wavelengths on a single fiber pair, raising fiber utilization for carriers and enterprises alike. It fits any standard SFP port, so adding a 120km wavelength is a simple plug-in step during network expansion. The result is longer unrepeated spans with fewer active sites to maintain.
