1000BASE-BX BiDi SFP Transceiver

Overview

The FT-SFP-1G-BIDI is a bidirectional gigabit SFP transceiver from F-tone Networks that sends and receives over a single fiber strand. Using WDM with paired transmit and receive wavelengths, it carries 1.25Gbps 1000BASE traffic in both directions without a second fiber. This halves fiber usage on routes where strands are scarce or leased by the pair. The series covers distance options from 3km up to 120km, so planners can match the optic to the span. Standard SFP packaging keeps it compatible with common switches and routers, and matched wavelength pairs install at each end of the link.
