Overview

Built for mid-range bidirectional spans, the FT-SFP-100M-BIDI-2 moves 100Mbps Fast Ethernet over a single fiber for up to 60 kilometers, transmitting at 1550nm and receiving at 1490nm. One-strand operation halves fiber requirements on regional access links and leased-line handoffs. In the widely deployed SFP form factor, it upgrades 100BASE-BX host ports without recabling. Match this 1550nm-TX end with a 1490nm-TX module at the remote side for a complete bidirectional channel. It fits carrier aggregation, industrial backhaul and utility networks that need long reach on installed fiber plant.
