Overview

The FT-SFP-1G-BIDI-4 is a short-reach bidirectional SFP transceiver from F-tone Networks for 4km gigabit links over a single fiber. It transmits at 1490nm and receives at 1310nm, pairing with the complementary wavelength version at the far end. At 1.25Gbps, it delivers full 1000BASE throughput while cutting fiber needs in half on strand-limited routes. The single-fiber WDM design suits access networks, campus interconnects and leased-fiber spans where every strand counts. Standard SFP packaging keeps deployment simple in common switches and routers.
