Overview

The FT-SFP-1G-60KM-1550 is a long-reach gigabit SFP transceiver from F-tone Networks operating in the 1550nm band. It pushes 1000BASE Ethernet up to 60km at line rates up to 1.25Gbps, making it a practical choice for inter-site and metro links where 40km optics fall short. The 1550nm wavelength keeps fiber attenuation low, so power budgets stretch further on standard single-mode spans. In the compact SFP package, it plugs into routers, switches and transport gear with standard SFP cages.
