Overview

The FT-SFP-GE55-ZX160 is an ultra-long-reach SFP transceiver from F-tone Networks for gigabit links that stretch up to 160km. A 1550nm DFB laser pairs with a high-sensitivity APD receiver rated below -36dBm, closing demanding power budgets with transmit power of +1.0 to +5.0dBm over duplex LC single-mode fiber. The module follows SFF-8472 MSA and IEEE 802.3ah-2004, so it installs in standard SFP ports across vendor gear, with Adva, Arista and Brocade compatible coding available. It is built for regional backbones, inter-city access and any route where intermediate regeneration is impractical or costly.
