Overview

The F-tone Networks FT-SFP-1G-15KM-1310 is a 1310 nm SFP transceiver for 1000BASE-LX/LH Gigabit Ethernet links up to 15 km. It transmits at data rates up to 1.25 Gbps, making it a standard building block for campus backbones, enterprise distribution layers, and metro access networks. The 15 km reach covers most building-to-building and site-to-site runs without needing longer-haul optics. Its standard SFP form factor plugs into a wide range of switches, routers, and media converters, so one spare can serve many locations. This is the classic LX/LH workhorse optic: simple to deploy, easy to stock, and suited to fiber plants built around single-mode cable.
