Overview

The FT-QSFP28-100G-BIDI is a 100G QSFP28 ZR4 BiDi transceiver that carries 100G over a single strand of fiber for 80 km. Bidirectional optics cut fiber usage in half compared with duplex links, which matters on long spans where fiber is scarce or costly. Four 25G LAN-WDM lanes run at 25.78125 to 28.05 Gb/s each, with total launch power of 8.0 to 10.5 dBm and a 6.0 dB extinction ratio. The module draws up to 5.5 W. Built for single-fiber 80 km transport, it fits point-to-point DCI, metro aggregation and carrier backhaul where only one fiber is available.
