Overview

The FT-SFP-100M is a 100M SFP copper transceiver with an RJ-45 connector for Fast Ethernet over twisted-pair cabling. It reaches up to 100 meters over Cat 5/5e cable, giving switches and routers a simple way to add electrical Ethernet ports where fiber is not required. The SFP form factor fits standard SFP slots, so network builders can mix copper and optical ports in the same chassis. It is a cost-effective choice for short desktop, wiring-closet and equipment-room links within the 100-meter Ethernet limit. The module is compatible with Nec equipment.
