100G CFP to QSFP28 Converter Module with FEC

Overview

The FT-FQ-CFP-QSFP28-F is a 100G converter module that adapts a CFP host cage to accept a QSFP28 optic. Its built-in forward error correction cleans up bit errors on marginal links, extending the usable reach of the installed optic. The CFP side is managed over MDIO and the QSFP28 side over I2C, with both Ethernet and OTU4 modes selectable. Electrical signaling follows CAUI-10 per IEEE P802.3bm. Power draw is capped at 5 W from 3.3 V, and the unit measures 13.6 by 82 by 144.75 mm to fit standard CFP cages.
