Overview

The FT-10G-40KM is a DWDM transceiver in the original XENPAK package, keeping first-generation 10G routers and switches on DWDM transport without a chassis refresh. It runs 155 Mbps to 10.3125 Gbps on the 100 GHz DWDM grid and reaches 40 km over single-mode fiber through a duplex LC connector, with 45 channel options (DXPK-10G17-40 to DXPK-10G61-40). The module tolerates -40 to +85 degrees C, so it survives unconditioned cabinets and outdoor enclosures, and a fixed-wavelength 1550 nm variant is available for single-channel links.
