1-Channel HDMI over Single-Mode Fiber Transmitter and Receiver Set

The FT-3931 from F-tone Networks is a 1-channel HDMI transmitter and receiver set that carries uncompressed HDMI video with embedded stereo audio over a single optical fiber. It accepts PC sources up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz and HD-DVD sources at 720p, 1080i and 1080p, with TMDS signal bandwidth of 1.65 Gbps. The fiber interface meets IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX standards, operating at 1310 nm with transmit power from -9.5 to -3 dBm and receive sensitivity of -23 dBm, for a reach of 2 km over single-mode fiber. Operating temperature spans -25 to +70 degrees C, with maximum power consumption of 5 W from a 9 to 12 V DC supply.
