10G BIDI X2 1330nmTX/1270nmRX 10km Transceiver

Overview

When only one fiber strand is available, bidirectional optics turn a single strand into a full duplex link. The FT-X2-10G-BIDI from F-tone Networks transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm over one fiber through a simplex SC connector, reaching 10 km at data rates up to 10 Gbps. Paired with a complementary 1270 nm transmit and 1330 nm receive module at the far end, the pair doubles fiber utilization without new cable. The X2 form factor fits legacy 10G line cards that predate SFP+, extending the life of installed chassis. For leased-fiber links and fiber-scarce routes, single-strand operation cuts the most expensive part of the connection.
