The FT-20KM-93 from F-tone Networks is a single-channel fiber optic video multiplexer that transports uncompressed digital composite video over single-mode fiber for distances up to 20 kilometers. Supplied as a matched transmitter and receiver pair in a durable aluminum alloy enclosure, it connects to video equipment through 75 ohm BNC connectors with gold center pins and links the two ends over a standard FC optical interface. Operating at 1310 or 1550 nm with a 12 dB optical power budget, the multiplexer delivers 8-bit digital transmission at 6.5 MHz bandwidth with signal-to-noise ratio above 67 dB, and supports PAL, NTSC and SECAM systems. With an operating temperature range of -45 to +75 degrees C, it suits harsh outdoor installations.
