Overview

Outdoor plant exposes optics to heat waves and deep frost. The FT-XFP-DW10G26-80C from F-tone Networks is qualified in commercial, industrial and military thermal grades, so the same 1556.55 nm C26 channel serves air-conditioned PoPs, unconditioned roadside enclosures and extreme field shelters. At 11.1 Gbps on the 100 GHz grid, its electro-absorption modulated laser emits 0 to +4.0 dBm and the avalanche photodiode detects below -23.0 dBm, holding 80 km of single-mode reach across the full envelope. Digital diagnostics report temperature and optical power continuously, and multi-vendor compatibility simplifies sparing for operators with mixed gear.
