10G XFP DWDM 1555.75nm 80km Transceiver

Overview

Dispersion, not power, usually limits 10G DWDM spans. The FT-101456 from F-tone Networks addresses it with an electro-absorption modulated laser at 1555.75 nm on the C27 channel of the 100 GHz grid. Favorable EML chirp characteristics keep the signal intact across 80 km of standard single-mode fiber, while -1 to +4 dBm of transmit power handles the connector and splice losses found in real outside plant. The 10G XFP package draws under 1.5 W, reports live conditions through digital diagnostics, and complies with SFP+ MSA, CPRI and eCPRI for broad platform support. A dispersion-conscious option for carriers extending DWDM into the metro edge.
