10G XFP DWDM 1540.56nm 80km Transceiver

Overview

Long spans punish weak transmitters. The FT-101498 from F-tone Networks pairs an EML transmitter with a fixed 1540.56 nm wavelength on the C46 channel of the 100 GHz C-band grid, a combination chosen for 10G DWDM links reaching 80 km. Electro-absorption modulation keeps the optical signal clean over distance, while transmit power from -1 to +4 dBm gives installers room to work within the link budget. The XFP package connects through an LC duplex interface and draws less than 1.5 W. DOM support reports temperature, voltage and optical power in service, and the protocol set covers SFP+ MSA, CPRI and eCPRI. It is a straightforward fixed-wavelength part for operators building out C-band capacity.
