Overview

Channel inventory planning decides how fast a DWDM network can be restored. The FT-101509 from F-tone Networks occupies the C47 slot at 1539.77 nm on the 100 GHz C-band grid, giving operators a fixed-wavelength spare for 10G DWDM line cards and muxponders. Its XFP package carries an EML transmitter rated for 80 km, with transmit power from -1 to +4 dBm and LC duplex connectivity. Power draw stays below 1.5 W, and DOM support allows live monitoring of temperature, voltage and optical levels once installed. Protocol coverage includes SFP+ MSA, CPRI and eCPRI, so the same part serves transport, enterprise and fronthaul spares pools.
